Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any booking made with The Lakehouse Lodge and Retreat LLC ("we," "us," "our"), operator of The Lakehouse in Memphis, TN. By submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms.

Pricing is custom to each event and is provided as a quote after you submit an inquiry, based on your dates, guest count, and event type. A quote is not a confirmed reservation.

To reserve your dates, we require a deposit for the quoted amount, paid securely through our payment processor, Stripe. Your dates are held once your quote is issued and are confirmed once your deposit is received. Any remaining balance owed, if applicable, will be communicated to you directly and is due in the timeframe specified in your booking confirmation.

Deposits are non-refundable once paid, regardless of the reason for or timing of a cancellation. This applies to cancellations initiated by you as well as changes in your plans, weather, illness, or other circumstances outside our control.

All guests are expected to follow our House Rules for the duration of their stay. Violations may result in immediate termination of your stay without refund, and you may be held responsible for any resulting damages or fees.

The property includes a private lake, pool, fire pit, and other natural and recreational features that carry inherent risk. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree to take reasonable precautions for yourself and your guests, including supervising minors at all times.

You are responsible for the conduct of everyone in your party and any guests you invite to the property during your stay. You agree to reimburse us for any damage to the property, its contents, or grounds caused by you or your guests, beyond normal wear and use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Lakehouse Lodge and Retreat LLC is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the property, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion, including for safety concerns, property availability issues, or violations of these Terms. Where we cancel a confirmed booking through no fault of yours, we will refund any amounts paid.

We are not responsible for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, government action, or other circumstances that make the property unavailable or unsafe to use.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your stay will be resolved in the courts of Shelby County, Tennessee.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes apply prospectively and will not affect bookings already confirmed under the version of these Terms in effect at the time of booking.
